santa needs to get it right

looks good especially the passenger cars. soulds do not compare to the BLI christmas engine. Also had to send the set back to Train World because the engine did not move forward or backward under any mode of operation. Hope they can improve the performance or lack of it.

Not too sure about this one

My wife wanted a train to run around the tree this holiday season and we decided on this one. The piece looks fine for our use, but the photos and videos make the model look a little more aesthetic than it actually does. We do believe that is to be expected a bit, and are perfectly happy with the appearance. After about 20 hours of operation one of the passenger cars developed an interior lighting issue...it would blink in random areas of the track. I inspected, found and repaired a broken wire at a solder point on the car. Now a week after that, approximately 30 to 35 hours, the engine started making a loud squeaking noise. I have lubed the axles to no avail. I'll take it to the shop this week to get their assessment.
