The Spirit of St. Louis was Pennsy's premier service between New York and St. Louis, offering speed and style to its patrons. After WWII, the train was outfitted with modernized equipment similar to that on the Broadway and other Blue Ribbon trains. Passengers enjoyed a variety of sleeping options, lounge cars, and a twin-unit diner.
